Ta da! We’re back, although we like to think of it as being fashionably late.
Like many of our readers and supporters, we had a tough first half of the year. This did not stop us from revelling in the best that the lowveld has to offer. We have been kept busy on HomeGrown Magazines’ groundbreaking social investment projects, at a time when innovative economics is needed most to counter the effects of the recession.
We hosted the glittering Making the Difference Awards in February (see page 111), helped corporate social investment experts craft an Mpumalanga manifesto, and launched the Social Investment Showcase in time for the 2010 Fifa World Cup. These projects are an extension of HomeGrown’s publishing ethic, which devotes energy and expertise to celebrating local innovation and thought-leaders.
Lowveld Living remains our flagship. For close on six years it has been promoting the people and lifestyles of the lowveld. It has become an institution, a trusted filter on the region, and our fans have been eager for this edition to come out.
